Anyone who pops by Flickr can see your public photos. Here are some other ways to share:
You can find the "Share" menu on many Flickr pages, including photo pages, sets, galleries, favorite pages, and groups.
The Share menu shows icons for email, the two sharing services you most recently used, and a drop down menu with access to your other sharing services. In addition, you can grab the URL, embed code, BBCode, or set new services up.
Easy! Just start a slideshow and click the Share link in the upper right of the screen. From there just grab the URL or even get the code to embed your slideshow on another site.
You can disable or enable the features on your account to let people share to Facebook, Twitter and blogs. This only turns it off for other people. You will still be able to use them even when you have disabled them for visitors.
If you are concerned about images being posted to Tumblr or Pinterest there are a few things you can do to discourage this. It is important to remember however that if a photo can be viewed in a browser it can be downloaded or someone can take a screen shot and upload it somewhere else. There is no way to 100% guarantee that your photos won't show somewhere else if you decide not to share them.
You can pin all public and safe photos on Flickr to Pinterest unless the owner has disabled sharing.
If a photo cannot be shared it usually is due to one of the following reasons:
You can change your account settings to allow/disallow sharing, or to grant/deny 3rd party applications API access to your photos.
Signed-in Flickr members may pin their own safe photos regardless of their share settings.
When a photo on Flickr is pinned to or repinned on Pinterest, it will be clearly attributed with the name of the photographer, the title, as well as a link to the photo page.
Furthermore, Flickr images embedded on other websites, like your blog or website, using one of the Flickr farm URLs (e.g. 7206/6949101083_d760c5b39b_m.jpg) will equally be attributed when (re)pinned.
You can share public photos in your photostream by copying the URL in your browser's address bar and pasting it an email. Anyone can see your public photos anytime, whether they're a Flickr member or not.
But! If you want to share private photos with people, use a Guest Pass. You can grant anyone access to the entire contents of one of your sets, including any private photos it contains. A Guest Pass is actually just that URL. This means that whoever sees that URL can access the set and all the photos inside it.
Go to the set or photo you want to share and click the "Share this" button. Then we'll help you either send an email to friends via Flickr or make a special web address (URL) that you can share.
Or if you want to give someone a link to see everything in your photostream including friends and family photos...
The share menu will show the services that you have most recently used but it isn't possible to make it always show particular services or to hide the logos. To access your other services just click the menu next to the buttons.
Yes! First we should mention that the best way to share your photostream is to invite them to create a Flickr account. When they have an account you can mark them as a Friend or Family and they can see any photos that you have marked as such. (This will also let them comment and favourite, which is even more fun.)
But if you know someone that doesn't want to create an account you can still share your Friends and Family photos with them using a Guest Pass for your photostream. Just go to your photostream and select the mail option in the Share menu near the top right of the screen. When you share the stream you will have the option to create a Guest Pass. This will let people see any photos in your photostream that you made available for friends or family. So until you expire the pass, people who use your Guest Pass can see all the photos in your whole account that are marked visible for friends or family, even if they aren't members.
After you mark your family and friends and set the appropriate privacy level on your photos, your family and/or friends can see your photos under the "Contacts" link at the top of each page.
We have made a few changes to Guest Pass which we think will make it a little more intuitive. We moved the option to share your entire photosteam, to the Share this button on your photostream. When you share a set or a photo with a Guest Pass you will only be able to share that set or photo. But we have also added permission levels on the set Guest Pass. You can choose to share your private photos or choose to keep them private.
Don't worry! all of the Guest Passes that you created in the past allowing people to see private photos in a set and in your stream will still work. In fact, when you view the Guest Pass history page you can see what permissions each Guest Pass has.
